Alma Families invited to meetings for Special Education and multilingual learners

Planning for the upcoming school year can be a daunting task, especially when it comes to organizing resources and understanding test scores for your scholar. If you're looking for guidance, the Alma Family Center at Fisher College is hosting two informative meetings on Wednesday, May 28th, designed specifically for families with children in special education and English learner programs.

The Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) meeting will take place from 5:30 to 6 PM. This session will focus on organizing your scholar’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) binder for the next school year, ensuring you have all necessary documents and information at your fingertips.

Following the SEPAC meeting, the English Learner Parent Advisory Council (ELPAC) will gather from 6:15 to 6:45 PM. This meeting will help you understand your scholar’s ACCESS test score and Multi-Language Learner (MLL) level, equipping you with the knowledge to support your child's educational journey effectively.

Both meetings promise to be engaging and supportive, offering pizza, refreshments, and activities for children so that families can focus on gaining valuable insights. Join us at 777 Church St. to connect with other families and educators, and leave equipped with the tools you need for a successful school year.
