Meet Ms. Waters!

What made you decide to join the Crew at Alma?
The school values, the community, the culture of the staff, and goal for all scholars to succeed.

What do you hope to contribute to Alma?
I hope to be able to help each scholar achieve their absolute highest potential and meet their goals to become the best scholar they can be.

What teacher made a difference in your life, and how?
My high school history teacher Mr. Darling, he made learning about the past and present something that did not feel like a pass or fail task he made it fun, engaging, and because of him it became my favorite subject and my major in college.

Why did you become involved in education?
I have always enjoyed working with kids and had an interest in education as it is the backbone of our society and one of the most crucial jobs and quintessential parts of the development of scholars from being a child to a young adult to adulthood, education shapes each individual and to be a part of that is amazing. It is a very rewarding profession where you get to watch scholars grow and meet and exceed their highest potential.

Where did you go to college or post-secondary school and what did you like about it?
I attended the University Of Maine. I liked the community, clubs, and hockey!

What is your favorite food?
Buffalo chicken!

What is your favorite book?
The Lioness of Boston by Emily Franklin
