What made you decide to join the Crew at Alma?
Being the mother of two Alma scholars has allowed me to see the love and dedication that the school and staff have for their students. I knew right away that this was an environment that I wanted to be a part of.
What do you hope to contribute to Alma?
I hope to contribute and encourage a safe space where we celebrate not only results, but also effort. A place where children are encouraged to grow not only academically, but also emotionally.
What teacher made a difference in your life, and how?
Professor Nolan was my Social Services teacher at BCC and was extremely dedicated to his students and his profession. He showed patience, kindness, and understanding, and truly made a difference in the lives of everyone who took his class.
Why did you become involved in education?
Education is powerful, so having the privilege to provide a child with an education is something that I have always found to be meaningful and rewarding.
Where did you go to college or post-secondary school and what did you like about it?
I graduated with an Associates in Human Services from BCC, and a Bachelors in Social Work from BSU. Both BCC and BSU provided their students with a sense of confidence and support.
