What made you decide to join the Crew at Alma?
I want to be around a community of teachers who want to pour into each student. It reminded me of how I grew up having teachers who looked like me. I hope I can pour into the students and guide them on their journey of success.
What do you hope to contribute to Alma?
I hope to push each student to their best potential and encourage them to be successful at everything they do.
What teacher made a difference in your life, and how?
My second grader teacher, she always encouraged me during math race test when I told myself I did not like math. Her encouragement led me to loving math.
Why did you become involved in education?
I started teaching at preschool and I feel in love with teaching and education.
Where did you go to college or post-secondary school, and what did you like about it?
I attended the University of Massachusetts Lowell & Stanford University. I liked the first-generation program; it helped with campus resources, setting me up with financial support, friendship, and completing my degree.
