Below is also a list of Food Pantries in New Bedford and Meal Sites & Times at different locations in the city. If you need assistance with any of these programs or obtaining food for your family please contact Alma’s Family Engagement Team or the front desk and we will do our best to help you.

For families and individuals that receive SNAP benefits in Massachusetts, HIP is a program that gives extra SNAP funds for fruits and vegetables. As long as a SNAP recipient has any balance (as little as $0.01) on their card, they can access their full $40+ HIP benefit.
Benefits are based on family size:
1-2 people - $40
3-5 people - $60
6+ people - $80
